About Us
Founder
Mr. Nagarajan started this venture in 1986, more than 32 years ago. Today, Virgo has installed over 500 machines that operate successfully across India. The company also has installations in Singapore, Pakistan, London, and Indonesia.
Mr. Nagarajan began his career by assisting his father, who was an expert in modern rice milling equipment. As the eldest son, he took responsibility for his family after the sudden demise of his father.
He introduced innovative engineering designs in modern rice milling machines. Later, he developed a strong interest in food processing machines. His focused vision and innovative approach helped him achieve success.
Machines such as the Garlic Peeling Machine, Onion Peeling Machine, Lemon Cutting Machine, and Multi Vegetable Cutter Machine received wide recognition from industry professionals and academic institutions.
He has been awarded National 3 rd Award from National Innovation Foundation in the year 2005 for Garlic peeling machine and lemon cutting machine. The award was conferred given by our former president Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam and again in the year 2006, He has received an award for Meritorious Invention which is given by National Research Development Corporation.
His visioning is to start a dedicated research and development wing for designing and developing new machines related to food industry, resulting in import substitution and generating abundant employment opportunities as well as entrepreneurship.
Daughter – Ms. Muthu Preethi
She has completed Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation subsequently, she has completed Post Graduation in Power Electronics and drives at SASTRA University, Tanjore She has joined her father’s venture her main responsibilities includes Marketing, Customer and Vendor relationships.
She takes care of production Scheduling, Quality, Installation and Inspection, realizing her father’s bandwidth enabling him to concentrate of innovations and research to launch of new innovation every year.

Son – Mr. Dinesh Virgo
His son Mr Dinesh Virgo, who has completed Mechanical Engineering, He has already done a college project on design & fabrication of automatic feeder for Virgo peeling machine. He is also well versed with design, operation,functioning and installation of machines. While pursuing his college and studies he works at the factory along with staff and factory workers.
1. Part time during weekends and holidays.
2. Done commissioning & installation of machines at the customers location multiple times.
He has an overall experience of 4 years and has a razor sharp bend of mind for machines making and their intricacies.
Dinesh is highly enthused to contribute to this new innovative machine.
